why am I so lucky?

I'm at work right now, and I figured out why I'm so lucky. And I'm here to tell yall about it. You see, I date this chick, her name is Veronica. Veronica is why I'm lucky. You should see this girl smile, it lights up any room and could brighten any day. She has perfect chompers, and the most perfect nose. They go nicely with her gorgeous eyes and her most most most most beautiful perfect gorgeous face you've ever seen. I could go on all day about her beauty, all week, all month. You see, we live together. In a nice cozy little apartment. Which is decorated amazingly, by Veronica of course. She cooks amazing dinners and is in love with Pepe (our bunny). She always greets me with her beauty and a nice kiss when I come home from work. But that's not all folks. She is probably one of the most talented photographers around. Everyone should go to her photo page - www.flickr.com/veronicalola. Or www.veronicalola.com (her blog). She has such a great eye and creative mind. She loves her animals and being spontaneous and travelling. She organized and amazing trip to Ireland where we just got in a car and let the roads take us where they would. So what I'm trying to say is, that I love her, and I'm super super lucky to have her

rotting at work

Right now I'm sitting at work writing a blog on my sidekick. I've just had like the most miserable day. Thank god big mario bought me a case of Boddingtons for my bday. So ill be able to throw 4 of thosse back when I get home and relax with my thoughts and baseball. My lovely gf is stuck working tonight. So I'm flying solo. Stinks. But ill make it. Fucking Shandalee Bay Carousel is this weekend. But I don't think I'm gonna drink that much. Chearight. Its always fun to get everyone back together. Most of us are living in different areas of the state and working in different places. Its hard to keep in touch or get together any more. That's why I'm so thankful for weekend getaways like this. We all have a chance to relive all those good times we've had, but getting more drunk than we used to. I always though I'd drink less the older I got. But it seems to be the complete opposite.

Ill write more when I get home. I'm gonna get fired if I keep going

Cheers

Its like summer, right?

it is upon us my friends, the season we call summer has arrived. a lot has been going on and will continue to go on within the next few weeks. my chica's birthday party is at the Lanes tonight. its a 50s greaser theme, should be a bang-up time. her actual birthday isn't until tuesday, but who has a birthday party on a tuesday? (shhhhhh. shes old) just kidding love, you're like a fine wine. in other news, the mets fired willie randolph, which is awesome i think. this is me explaining the mets thing: i always felt for the most part, that the manager doesnt deserve too much credit if his team does well, or all the blame if the team sucks. but willie was hurting that team with poor decisions. bad management of the bullpen; stop sending aaron heilman out when he hasnt been pitching well, give him the fucking night off and put someone else out there for a turn. stop fucking bunting!!!! that gives away outs!!!! you have 27 outs per 9 innings. don't give up an out just to move a guy to fucking second base. let them swing away. especially on the road; you're supposed to play to win on the road, not for a tie. and what it really comes doen to is that someone has to take the blame. and willie screwed himself with all the mentions of race. stop it willie, it has nothing to do with race, its baseball. you had a pretty good run, then one of the biggest meltdowns ever, then you started the season terribly and were 3 games under .500 almost 70 games in. not good enough with a 138 million dollar payroll.

moving on, we got a sick new grill at our place. i got all shirtless and sweaty to put it together. it was so hot. its charcoal, we dont fuck with that gas shit, i like my Asado to be nice and flavorfull. we had a BBQ last sunday on fathers day with my friend John and his dad.

day 129/365not sure what he's pointing at.it's nice having a chef cook in your kitchen.john grilling.
(click for more)

so you might be wondering, why would you let someone else man your grill? John is not only my friend, he is the executive chef at Restaurant Plan B, where i work as well. this is my unbiased opinion of John's food: ITS FUCKING AMAZING!!!! in all seriousness, the best food i've ever had. check it out as soon as possible. but in the second pic from the top, you'll notice me delegating all the responsibilities, im always the manager of the grill, if you will. (rhyming was intended)

ummmmm, what else?

im gonna post another blog in a moment. gonna watch some of the Holland v. Russia match

cheers

a post i wrote in my fantasy league, just cus i havent written anything on this in months. ill start doing more soon.

im pretty much with JP on this one. i wouldnt be if the players involved were more clutch, but what can you do. but in all seriousness. i discussed this with some members of the league, and i would be alright with this 'trade' standing. it seems the integrity of the 'trade' was compromised, but it is still a fair 'trade'. but i concur that NOG's transactions should be halted from here on out though. im not talking about weekly add/drops, but 'trades' of any sort.

picture it this way, if you will. say there was a falling out between Omar Minaya and the Wilpons. and omar announced that he would be leaving at the end of the season. i find it very hard to believe that those jews would allow omar to make any 'trades' for the rest of the year.

that is possibly the worst analogy ever, because in real life baseball Omar would just quit or be fired. but oh well, i tried.

i also put quotation marks around the word 'trade' in honor of marc nevins and possibly the best post in the history of fantasy sports. i've googled 'cocktail umbrella neck' every day since and nothing has come to fruition.

so all i have left to say is as follows:

"make it Mac tonight"

im back! with day 8 of 365. and im not tired of posting these either. in fact. im starting to enjoy it more. so if you guys dont like it. you can just look at my blog constantly. comment my posts. and go to my friends blogs. some great art and very insightful writing. ive surrounded myself with some pretty good 'blends'. i just made that up, it stands for 'blog friends'. get it? im a loser. im sure thats what you're getting. but seriously, dont try to steal my word. i took this self portrait on sunday night after a nice bbq with my chica's family. no real reason why it's of my elephant tattoo. maybe cause so far their all of my face. who knows. but veronica and i did see There Will Be Blood on sunday, and it was fucking amazing. one of my favorite films of all time. but thats all for the post to come dedicated to that gem of a movie

5/365

day 5/365
i know i lagged for a couple days on posting. but this is day five of project 365. this is me at my loves house after a super sick v-day dinner. in which we drank copious amounts of vino. rojo, blanco, and verde. we finished it off with some nice prosecco. all these different varietals washed down our dinner of pulpo, paella, scallops, some greek fish i forget the name of and frogs legs. pretty serious business. so it was a wonderful night of food and spirits spent with my valentine.

cheers
